Privacy Policy

Last updated 18 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Zhuwa Africa Limited collects through zhuwafrica.com, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. We follow the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) of Ghana and, for visitors in the United Kingdom and European Union, the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

01Who we are

Zhuwa Africa Limited ("Zhuwa Africa", "we", "us") is a software development, consulting and technology training company based in Accra, Ghana. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

You can reach us about anything in this policy at info@zhuwafrica.com.

02What we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us, plus basic, anonymous site statistics.

  • Contact form: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, organisation, the service you are interested in, your type of organisation, when you would like to start, your message and any brief you attach.
  • Client feedback form: your name, company, job title, country, rating, your feedback and the photo or logo you upload.
  • Booking a call: the name, email and answers you give when you book a time with us on Calendly.
  • Emails and WhatsApp messages you send us: whatever you include in them, plus your number.
  • Site statistics: anonymous information such as the pages visited, the type of device and browser, the country, and how quickly pages load. This cannot be used to identify you.

03How we use it

We use your information:

  • to reply to your enquiry, prepare a proposal and work with you on a project;
  • to show approved client feedback on our website, next to your name, company and photo or logo;
  • to understand how the site is used and keep it fast and reliable;
  • to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We use your information because you asked us to (for example, by sending an enquiry), because it is needed to provide our services, or because we have a legitimate interest in running and improving our business. We never sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

04Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers who process information on our behalf and only for the purposes above:

  • Vercel: hosts this website and provides anonymous visitor and performance statistics.
  • Google Firebase: stores the messages and feedback sent through our forms.
  • EmailJS: delivers contact form messages to our inbox.
  • Cloudinary: stores files and images you upload through our forms.
  • Cloudflare: provides anonymous visitor statistics.
  • WhatsApp (Meta): carries the messages you choose to send us on WhatsApp.
  • Calendly: handles the calls you book with us.

05International transfers

Some of these providers store information on servers outside Ghana, including in the United States and Europe. Where that happens, we rely on their standard safeguards for international transfers and only use providers with strong security practices.

06Cookies

Our public website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The statistics tools we use count visits without cookies and without identifying you. The private admin area, used only by our team, uses the storage needed to keep staff signed in.

07How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and project information for as long as we need them to respond to you, deliver our services and meet our legal and accounting obligations, and then delete them. Client feedback stays on our site until you ask us to remove it.

08Keeping it safe

We use secure, access-controlled services, and only our team members who need your information can see it. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

09Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your information, or remove your feedback from our site;
  • stop or limit how we use your information.

10Contact and complaints

To use any of these rights or ask a question, email info@zhuwafrica.com. We will reply within one month.

If you are not happy with how we handle your information, you can contact Ghana's Data Protection Commission or, in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
